A chamber of commerce is a form of business networking that serves to create a strong local economy and promote the community. The Crosby Huffman Chamber of Commerce provides volunteer leadership to improve the image, prosperity, and economic development of the Crosby and Huffman communities while preserving the heritage and quality of life.
Outlining the east side of Lake Houston with 150 miles of piney forest and open grassland, lie Crosby and Huffman. Once predominately an agricultural area, Crosby and Huffman are satellite communities of Houston - the nation's fourth largest metropolitan area. Within 35 minutes of downtown Houston, one can enjoy a relaxed, hometown atmosphere with all of the cultural, recreational and sports activities and facilities of the city. In addition, state of the art health care at the world renowned Houston Medical Center is located nearby. Crosby and Huffman are truly the best of both worlds - country quiet, city close.'
Ambassador Rewards Program (CHCC members)
The Ambassador Awards Program was designed to allow CHCC members an opportunity to highlight
their participation in Chamber events. By participating in Chamber events members become more
familiar to the community at large. This program is also designed to encourage members to engage
in community based Chamber functions. Click on the Ambassador Score Sheet tab at the top of this page

Skills for Living
Crosby ISD students take on "The Game of Real Life"

Skills for Living is directly addressing the challenge of providing high school
students with motivating, quality financial and career planning information
through a 12-course integrated curriculum called The Game of Real Life.
The three week curriculum is designed to provide the students in high school with information
needed to successfully play the game of life. The climax of the program is an 8-hour
reality based financial decision making game. The “game” simulates students graduating
from high school. They must make decisions as to whether they will rent an apartment,
furnished (with or without amenities), buy a home, need to share expenses with roommates,
compete for jobs, buy cars, borrow money, buy insurance, finance college, and get married
and have children. The game takes the students from age 18 to 25 and they make decisions
based on the knowledge they gained from the 12 financial and career planning courses.

"Skills for Living" commencement exercises on Saturday, July 24, 2010. Pictured from
